MiKala Barrett is a licensed life insurance professional, financial educator, and agency owner based in the Chicago area. She specializes in helping individuals and families protect their income, build long-term wealth, and create their own personal pension using strategies most people were never taught.
Her journey into financial services did not start in finance. After graduating college, MiKala worked in Springfield where she saw firsthand how policies are created and, more importantly, how they impact everyday people. That experience, combined with her time working in nonprofit communities on the West Side of Chicago, opened her eyes to the gaps in financial education and access.
Determined to find a better way, she stepped into financial services and built a business focused on teaching people how money actually works. Today she helps clients use tools like life insurance and annuities not just for protection, but as vehicles for growth, stability, and generational wealth.
Beyond client work, MiKala is passionate about developing other agents. She trains and mentors individuals who want to build careers in financial services, create additional income, and take control of their future.
